An Inspiration for all Men
This is an outstanding book, and it bring great inspiration to all that are striving for success.

Inspirational
Way to go Lee, et. al!

This volume of work is splendid! Each chapter is its own vignette of triumph over trial, of success without compromise. Each profile is of a contrasting context than the others, and together they form a beautiful mosaic of thought, courage, and intellect. This body of work would make an excellent gift to a young mind in bloom.

Buffalo Jones: The Man Who Saved America's Bison
Published in Hardcover by Rayve Productions (15 March, 2000)
Authors: Carol A. Winn and William J. Geer
Average review score:

A lively, action-filled true story.
Buffalo Jones had to deal with horrible weather, a pack of wolves, and other difficulties in his quest to capture buffalo calves. The clever way he outwitted the wolves adds a surprising twist to an exciting story. Especially good for readers 8 to 12 who like true adventure, but older readers (including adults) will enjoy it, too.

An exciting read
Fast-paced and colorful, this book describes one of Jones' expeditions in which he captured buffalo calves to create a captive herd and preserve the species. The difficulties Jones had to overcome make exciting reading, especially the ingenious way he protected the calves from wolves. Great for ages 7 to 10, but older and younger folks will enjoy it, too.

California Lighthouses

These books are good for finding the lights that are in them
There are directions and other info for finding and visiting lighthouses. They do not always show all lights for a given area. The photos are all color. I own 3 of these books. There are not many other guide books out there so if you are looking for guide books these are good to have...

One of the best lighthouse refernce books out there
I am a lighthouse lover and this book is the best refence book for lighthouses of California. It leaves very little out and is quick and easy to read. Perfect for the coffe table or bedside table. I recommend this whole line of lighthouse books to everyone.

Carnegie Libraries Across America : A Public Legacy
Published in Hardcover by John Wiley & Sons (24 March, 1997)
Author: Theodore Jones
Average review score:

Indispensible resource
I first became interested in the subject of Carnegie Libraries as a result of a History of Libraries course taken to earn my MLS at Indiana University. Since then, I have personally photographed more than 300 of these architectural gems in the states of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Arkansas, and Kansas. This book has been a major resource for my research, particularly the state index of Carnegie sites. In the absence of George Bobinski's groundbreaking study from the late 60's (ALA, why haven't you reprinted that one?), Jones' book is the next best thing. Now based in Wichita, I have the pleasure of working across the street from the city's old Carnegie building. Books like this one help to raise the public's consciousness of the treasures they have in these fine libraries. Save the Carnegies!

Interesting and Informative
I became interested in the subject of Carnegie Libraries after having worked as a carpenter in the restoration/transformation of the one in our town. I found this book an excellent resource in the study of that period in American History and the part which Mr. Carnegie played in allowing more Americans to learn about the wider world of their time. It also includes Many wonderful photos of different Carnegie Libraries around the country, most as they originally appeared. I was only slightly dissapointed that the ones I had personally knew weren't pictured. Nevertheless, an excellent resource book for those wanting to study the Carnegie era.

CARTOUCHE CARDS
Published in Cards by Ostaris Publications USA (15 December, 1983)
Authors: Murry Hope, Martin Jones, and Jared Collard
Average review score:

Cartouche Cards - an effective oracle
I bought my first set of these excellent cards about fifteen years ago, drawn by the Egyptian imagery. I "played" with them for a few years before starting to use them in my professional readings, and since then my understanding of the cards has deepened considerably. As with any predictive tool, it is necessary to establish a resonance with the cards, and I've found that this has developed more readily for me with Cartouche cards than with the Tarot's Major Arcana and the Runes, both of which I have used in the past. Over the years, Cartouche cards have slotted themselves on to an inner framework in my own depths, and the meanings that the cards reveal to me now vary slightly from those in the book "The Way of Cartouche". Clients are continually astonished at the accuracy of the cards and the helpful advice that can be drawn from them, and many are delighted by their attractive appearance, too.

Having worn out two decks of Cartouche cards, I am now in the market for a third!

Cartouche Cards
I have found the book that accompanies the cards to be very informative. It gives great detail into the relationship of ancient Egypt mythological characters, and the relationships they shared with each other. The readings abtained by the cards are very accurate, and helpful in making decisions, or seeking direction.

The Case of the Buried Treasure (Jigsaw Jones Super Special, 1)
Published in Paperback by Little Apple (January, 2002)
Authors: James Preller and Jamie Smith
Average review score:

The Author Is At His Best With This Book
"The Case of the Buried Treasure" is definitely one of the best books in the Jigsaw Jones series by James Preller. My six-year-old son was spellbound as I read it to him. I have to admit that I enjoyed the story as much as he did. The book has a generous mix of humor, suspense, clever phrases and good values. What more could a parent ask for in a book? (I really want the author to know how much I appreciate the good values - particularly the way the book portrays telling a lie as wrong and not something funny to do whenever convenient which I've seen in other children's books.) The story has many twists and turns and is so well-written! The character development is excellent, and we feel like we know each of the kids in Room 201. We have read most of the books in this series, and hope the author will continue writing many more Jigsaw Jones books for us to read.

Jigsaw Super Special #1
Of all of the Jigsaw Jones books that I have read - I haven't read them all as of yet, but between my two boys, we're fast approaching that goal - I like this one the best. My boys both loved it, too.
I coordinate a book club for the 2nd grade at our local school. The kids love Jigsaw Jones and have been requesting one on our reading list. I've assigned it as our next book club reading book. I think that this one is special.

Casey Jones's Fireman: The Story of Sim Webb
Published in Hardcover by Phyllis Fogelman Books (September, 1999)
Authors: Nancy Farmer and James Bernardin
Average review score:

Great Train Book
A great book that mixes the story of a legendary folk hero and a supernatural battle between heaven and hell. Nancy Farmer is a great writer and the oil paintings bring the story to life.

What a treasure
I came upon this book just browsing in a childrens book store. I love how the story hints at a supernatural struggle in the midst of a folk story about the early days of railroad. Beautifully written and the pictures are gorgeous.

Chastity

great and origional
To tell you the truth, I'm not a real western fan, but I got a hold of this book, and the combination of the characters pulled me in for more. I admit that this is the first western book I have read, and maybie (If they turn out as good as this,) I should read more!

Best I've read in a long time
Chastity is one of the most refreashing books I"ve read in a long time. It keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through the book. The story line is such that you do not want to put the book down. You have to keep reading in order to find out what's going to happen next. It also keeps your interest with every word. Thank You, Mr. Jones
